Thankyou to all whom participated in the two raffles October, November & December we raised a great £290.00 for the www.thesca.org.uk Parrot Rescue
The SCA have a large project, they have eight beautiful cockatoos to be rehomed urgently (we are trying to get hold of pictures and stories on the birds) and need to raise estimated at present £15,000 for wire mesh alone to build aviaries. These birds are in need of urgent rehoming as the holding station is being sold.

WE ARE COLLECTING MOBILE PHONES FOR RECYCLING TO RAISE MONEY FOR The SCA, WHO ARE A BIRD CHARITY DEALING WITH THE CONSERVATION, EDUCATION, RESCUE AND REHOMING OF ALL AVIAN SPECIES. THEY DONT HAVE TO WORK AND IT DOESNT MATTER HOW OLD THEY ARE. PLEASE BRING ANY DOWN TO THE SHOP

1st October 2009 We start another great raffle for the customers to raise money for the SCA. JamesWellbeloved (make naturally healthy hypoallergenic dog food, cat food, ferret food and treats).
For every purchase of JWB you will get a free entry or buy a ticket for 50p - proceeds from this will go to SCA project cockatoos.
1st Prize - Sack of cat or dog food (depending on the animal you keep)
2nd Prize - 2kg bag cat or dog food (depending on the animal you keep)
3rd Pize - 225g bag cat food or Crackerjacks treats 225g

We have parrot feathers for sale in the shop to raise money for SCA they are 50p each and their are macaw, cockatoo, African grey tail feathers and much more, these are good for art, ornamental, fishing, hats and great for irritating your favorite person!
We occasionally have cages donated by people to raise money for the SCA
Big Thankyou to the kind Lady and Gentleman from Wallasey that donated their parrot cage on 21/9/09. Swift as a bird sold it and raised £60.00 for SCA.
Parrot Care Talk by Greg Glendell

Talk includes behavioural problems caused by parental deprivation (hand-rearing) wing clipping, solitary housing. Unsuitable parrot species as pets, parrot welfare and much more.
Question & Answer sessions.
Greg will have some of his free-flying parrots with him.
Greg is the UK's only full-time companion parrot behaviourist and has appeared on several TV programmes and written articles for the veterinary and bird keeping press.
